Is it possible to import data to a multi-record custom field?
November 10, 2009, 10:35:15 am
Is it possible to import data to a multi-record custom field?  I created a custom group to contain up to 10 records for each individual.  However, I cannot see the custom fields in the import mapping.  I wonder if import to multi-record group is allowed.  If it can be done, please advise wher I can find the doc.  Thanks.

Not in v3.1 or below

Would be great if someone could contribute developer resources (or sponsorship) to develop this feature. Unfortunately i dont think it is a trivial feature addition :(

ah this is what I was looking for.
What would be a reasonable sponsorship amount?

Do you want to spec out what features you'd like in a multi-record custom group import a bit more? i suspect a special import for a custom group is far easier than integrating it with the civicrm import. So an import which only creates/updates a simple contact (contact id or contact name) along with the custom data might be easier and the fastest. I suspect this will take approx 50 hours or so

check http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRM/Developing+with+the+CiviCRM+team for more details

Was this ever added to a release, or is it still an issue/
