View profile as data entry form
November 10, 2009, 05:38:55 pm
I've just installed civi and have created some profiles.  How does a new Individual or Organisation view the profiles that I've created as their data entry forms?  Thanks.

goodforkids :

You can think of a Profile as providing a window into your data. You can have multiple profiles which refer to some of the same fields.
This window (profile) enables you to do couple of operations like Create/Edit/ Search on the data set.

For more details on profiles, you may want to check our online book http://en.flossmanuals.net/civicrm
esp the chapter about Collecting and Sharing Data : http://en.flossmanuals.net/CiviCRM/CapturingExposing

Hi Nicholas - You should also check this section of the doc on the wiki:

Thanks Dave and Yashodha.  I'll take a look at the docs.
