My organization is currently using Constant Contact for sending constituent emails (we're a new organization, we've only sent 1 big email so far), and it's a big drag to export the address lists between CiviCRM and CC every time.  I also have to re-import the opt-out lists, etc. back to CC.

The biggest thing our marketing person really likes about CC is their selection of message templates.  Which makes me wonder if there are collections of well-tested templates available for use under CiviCRM.  Anyone know?

Alternatively, are there good solutions for coordinating the interchanges between CiviCRM and CC?  What do other people do when they use an external vendor for sending mails?

you might want to check if there are any drupal integration modules that you could potentially adapt and modify for use with civicrm. if you do this, please publish your changes so others can benefit

not aware of a collection of well tested templates, but would be great if you can take the lead and setup a repository of civimail templates. that will help you and us and the community :)

I wish I could set up a repository, but I don't have much in the way of testing resources/platforms.  Or design skills.  Or hosting services.  Besides that, I'm all set. =)

I'll look into Drupal integrations, good idea.
