Contact Summary > New Event missing
September 02, 2007, 03:39:37 pm
Just started experimenting with CiviEvent. On the CiviEvent page it says "To enter events manually for individual contacts, use Find Contacts to locate the contact. Then click View to go to their summary page and click on the New Event link."

I can create an event, define participant status and so on, but when I go to add attendees to the event there is no New Event link.

My setup is CiviCRM  1.8 on Drupal 5.1, running as a subdomain to a main site. Both main site (public) and subdomain (private) share a single database. Different prefixes are used for each site, but civicrm tables are set up in settings.php to have no prefix (ie, shared with the main site).

Check:

http://demo.civicrm.org/drupal/civicrm/contact/view?reset=1&cid=105&selectedChild=participant

and following the "New Event Registration" link from there, gets you here:

http://demo.civicrm.org/drupal/civicrm/contact/view?reset=1&cid=105&selectedChild=participant

If you dont see the above, please check your settings file. Might help to get it all working on one site before splitting it off into two sites

Thanks yet again lobo

Comparing the demo site to what I had, I noticed some other tabs were missing. Turns out I had disabled them in Global Settings > Site Preferences when I initially disabled CiviEvent, and then did not re-enable them. Checking the Events option in the various Site Preferences sections fixed the problem.
