I have been trying to have a custom data field in the "New Activity" page such that whenever new individual is added to the contact list there is a custom data field(text field) appended to the "New Activity" form. This custom data field is supposed to be associated with the individual and activity selected (for reporting purposes). I was wondering if someone would know if this can be achieved. If it cannot be done in civicrm as of now what steps can be taken to do something like that? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I think it's helpful to describe in more detail what you're trying to accomplish (put some context around things) - as well as give a concrete example.

I didn't really get what this phrase meant: "such that whenever new individual is added to the contact list ..." - does this mean whenever anyone adds a contact to CiviCRM? What's the connection between this user action and the custom field(s)? Is the custom field populated with a list of contact names or is it something I type in or

So hard to answer w/o really getting it (maybe I'm thick brained of course, but ....).
