Setting Defaults for Contact Attributes
November 12, 2009, 01:03:59 pm
Folks,

Great software... thanks soooo much.

The site I'm building wants to collect one email address only for individuals, "main." Is there a way I can disable the other options... or at least have "main" be the default.

We want to have the Drupal user reg email map to email "main" as well. Now it is mapping to email "home." The profile I'm using to collect other information on user reg. doesn't even have an email field for me to configure. Where is the Drupal email address mapped to "home" and how can I change it to "main."

Thanks,

Shai

You can set default "location type" and disable others from Admin CiviCRM >> Option Lists >> Location Types.

Dave,

Thanks so much. Don't know how I missed that.

Ideally for "address" I'd like "home" and "work" but for email just "main." However, it appears that these location settings can't be so refined, unless I'm not seeing something. Let me know if I'm missing something.

And thanks for pointing me to the right spot. I'll eventually know these settings better and not have to bother you :)
