Drupal OG / CiviCRM 3.02 integration: is this a bug in CiviCRM?
November 15, 2009, 07:35:47 pm
Hi all,

I'm working with a test site to try out CiviCRM (3.02) and Drupal Organic Groups (6.x.2.0) integration, and I'm trying to figure out if I just found a bug in CiviCRM, if there is an issue with some other module, or if maybe some table entries are the root cause.

When I initially set up the test site, I was able to add a group, join it, then post to it.  When I looked in CiviCRM, I saw the person was added to group within CiviCRM, which is great -- just what I wanted to see.

Another user signed on and also created a group with no problem.

I added a few other modules (Forum, OG Forum, and a few others), and then I started to receive an error each time.  So I deleted all the organic group nodes and posts, disabled and uninstalled Organic Groups and OG Forum, and then reinstalled Organic Groups without reinstalling the OG Forum.  But the error keeps coming back.  If I disable the CiviCRM OG Sync module in Drupal, the error goes away.

The debug log follows:

backTrace

, node_add,
/home/public_html/includes/menu.inc, call_user_func_array, 348
/home/public_html/index.php, menu_execute_active_handler, 18

Any thoughts on what the culprit might be here?  If there is a bug in CivCRM I'd like to report it.

Side note: I also have CiviMember roles synch turned on, which seems to be working fine.

Thanks,
Randall

you will need to add some debug statements there and figure out what happened that is causing this "new" behavior.

check: http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-5248

for a fix in 3.1, that might help fix your issue too

It wasn't clear to me in the issue navigator -- is this 3.1 fix included in the alpha version that can be downloaded?

The trace is identical.  I'd be happy to install the alpha version and test this if it's included.

I installed the alpha version with organic groups, tested adding, modifying, and deleting groups.  Everything worked fine.  I also added og forum and again, no problems.
