Deleting 'blocked' users - what is best practice
November 15, 2009, 11:16:48 pm
So if a client is using recaptcha and still getting lots of spam sign ups - and drupal registration is set to requiring approval - what is the best process for trashing them. The sign up is creating a Drupal and civicrm record. Obviously we want to delete both.

I thought I had read somewhere that if the account is not approved then the civicrm record will be deleted - maybe i imagined that - but in testing that is not happening.

If it should work as above, then any suggestions where to look for problems?

If it doesn't work like that then - as I see it - we have the same problem of needing to be able to delete both the Drupal User and the CiviCRM user - and I can't spot any easy process to find those with blocked Drupal accounts and then grab their civicrm records.

Any suggestions appreciated.
