Greetings ladies and gentlemen,

I can view a google map of a specific contact--how can I view a google map that shows all my contacts, or a group of contacts?

you can select a group of contacts from search and choose the action: Map Contacts :)

you can also map the contacts from a profile listing. Check the map flag in advanced settings

Is it possible to view a map of contacts/group from the frontend of the site? (Joomla version)

1. yes

2. try a url similar to:

http://joomla.demo.civicrm.org/index.php?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/profile/map&reset=1&gid=1

3. make sure u have a mapping key set for the above to work
