Information in the confirmation email
November 17, 2009, 04:37:54 pm
Originally, we were getting all the information that is entered into the fields on the event sign up form (name, address, how you heard about us, etc.) on the email receipt.

Now, a day later all of the information in the one profile has dropped off the form completely. The first profile form, which asks about delivery of your ticket, shows up in the form. But the second profile form, which has all the person's information, is gone.

Any idea of what could be causing this?

I had originally edited the template for the email, as we don't need some of the info to show (event location, date, etc. since it's an open-ended ticket). But this problem is showing up whether we're using the edited template file or the unedited one.

Is the more limited e-mail being generated by the profile being submitted rather than the event? i.e. you know how you can set a profile to send an e-mail on submission?

It does sound a bit mystical

No, it's the event. It's the event confirmation email. Neither profile is set to send an email on its own, so the only email generated is the one that is generated when you register for an event.

I've gone through and registered myself several times under fake names and various emails that I have. The first day, we got all the details from the form. The next day we're only getting the info from one attached profile, not both.

I'm trying to hunt down what could be causing it, but I haven't been able to find anything. I don't know if someone else went in and changed a setting somewhere and I'm just not finding it, or what.

I thought at first it was my edits to the template file, but I replaced it with the original file and we still get the same thing.

Do I maybe need to empty the templates_c folder? Could something in there be causing it?
