Adding a currency dropdown to the Donation page

Currently the Donation page only displays the default (and only) currency. I would like to add a dropdown with more currencies, at least EUR and GBP. What is the cleanest way to do this?

Currently the model is one language / one currency / one locale per site.

There will be a fair number of changes to make it multiple for all the above cases. I suspect to make it multi-currency only with one one language / one locale will not be as many changes etc. Note that at this stage, you will also need to change the "contribution" pages to do the right math and the right currencies (and any conversion if so)

Would be a great contribution to the code base :)
