County data in New Individual page
November 18, 2009, 02:35:29 pm
hey
I was having troubling while storing county data in New Individual page. I was wondering if anyone would know about this. Since I am only interested in North Carolina counties, I have added just NC counties to database. They show up all right in the county selection dropdown. When I choose North Carolina as state and any of the county and submit it, the county information gets saved in the database. However I cannot see the county information when I search for that individual and view its details. Is there any way that the county information is visible in the Contact Summary page?

Also when I choose a county, for example Wake and choose any state other that North Carolina and hit submit. I get an error: "Wake is not part of . It belongs to ." Is it possible to make this error message more meaningful by showing the state selected by user? I tried at demo site and I'm getting the same error.

Any help is appreciated!
Thanks

we do not include (or have) a county db and hence have not really tested the county stuff a lot.

Would be great if u'll could investigate and post patches to the issues u find

Might also want to ensure that you've included the "county" field in the address preferences
