problem with Profile View

I set up a menu to be a Profile View. When selecting this menu item the following error is returned.

"Could not find the required contact id parameter (id=) for viewing a contact record with a Profile."

What's up?/??

Have you created Profile Edit link?  For Profile Edit link you need to be logged.

Does the menu link have any contact id value in its "id" parameter?

Is this "id" value static or dynamic ?

Paste the menu link code you are using for "viewing profile".

As far as I know, there is no id parameter in this version of CiviCRM (3.1)
