Upcoming Events on the sidebar
November 20, 2009, 04:55:45 pm
Hi

Just made a civicrm + drupal install (with option to put sample data)

When I login as admin, it shows a "Upcoming Events" on the right sidebar with "Fall Fundraiser Dinner", etc (sample events)

I want to show this information for registered and anonymous users.

I've tried several thing but without success

(Additional question: It is recommendable to show this to other users?)

Thanks

Lijealso

You control when that "Block" is displayed from Drupal Admin >> Site Building >> Blocks. Then click "Configure" for that block. Check the "roles" and also the "pages when this block is displayed". (You might need to remove civicrm* from this configuration field.)

It is fine to show the "Upcoming Events" block to anonymous and authenticated users if you want both to see events. If you are doing online event registration, make sure to also set your CiviCRM permissions to allow these roles to "register for events":
