Free registration in early bird price set?
November 23, 2009, 09:52:16 am
Hello:

I'm setting up registration for a conference.  Our regular fees set has four items - regular registration ($75), attorney registration ($95) and two items that each have a price of $0, for scholarships and complimentary registrations.  (They are labeled "for administrator use only.")

I also have a discount set for early-bird registration, where the fees are $10 cheaper.  I want those two $0 items on that set as well, but for some reason civicrm won't save those items, so they aren't available to us when we register a free person during the early-bird period.

I reproduced the problem on the demo site here.

Is there a workaround?

Thanks,

Tracey

Tracey - thx for setting this up on demo. This is a bug (we should be consistent and allow $0 early-bird fees). Issue posted here for fix in 3.0.3 (assuming it's not a big change):

http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-5436

Not sure how hard it will be to backport to 2.1 x (which your profile indicates you are using) :-( - but once a fix is posted you can review the change(s) and see.

Sorry - my profile needed updating.  I'm on 3.0.2 now.  Thanks for the reply.
