3.1 alpha2 Profile View problem

civiCRM3.1 alpha2   Joomla 1.5.15

Click on View listing which is a menu created as a civiCRM Profile view. The following error is returned.

"Sorry. A non-recoverable error has occurred.

Could not find the required contact id parameter (id=) for viewing a contact record with a Profile."

Both Profile-Edit and Profile-View must have Access Level set to Registered. A user must be logged in to the front-end so CiviCRM can retrieve their contact info for either editing or viewing. I've clarified this on the wiki at:

actually...when I set the menu up this way and log in to the front end. the menu leads nowhere...
