Use multiple Currencies with CiviContribute
November 29, 2009, 09:11:46 am
Hello All,

I have set up for my organisation CiviCRM, and we use CiviContribute. As our web site is in Two language (French and English), i have created 2 contribution, one per language.

My issue now is to attribute a different currency tto both contribution : I want that french contribution page use Euro as currency, and english use dollars.

I don't find a way to configure that. The only thing i have find is the way to change the default currency, that is use on both contrib page.

The website is there : http://earthschristmas.org

All the best,

Jérôme

Jerome - Check this blog post for a solution (some coding required, but example should get you most of the way there):

The example is great for online contribution forms, but what about for offline contributions? If I wanted to allow someone to create or edit an offline contribution (like a check) and be able to record amounts in different currencies, would it be possible to simply reveal a "currency" field in the template?

If I wanted to do something more elaborate with support for offline credit card contributions which require processing I assume I could modify the code for the online contribution page?

you should be able to use hooks and customize offline contribution forms similar to online contribution forms

if you do so, please publish your changes so others can benefit
