Installer Error - standalone/index.php doesn't exist
November 29, 2009, 02:23:29 pm
I got this error message when running http://localhost:8888/civicrm/install/index.php?mode=standalone

>>>
File permissions
[..]

[IN RED]

Is the standalone folder writeable?

The user account used by your web-server - Andre - needs to be granted write access to the following directory in order to configure the CiviCRM settings file:
/Applications/MAMP/htdocs/civicrm/standalone
>>>

The Standalone Folder didn't exist.

Then I created the htdocs/civicrm/standalone folder, and tried again.

The checklist went fine, the only warning was about php memory limit (the warning was there the first time as well):

>>>
Memory allocated (PHP config option 'memory_limit')   CiviCRM needs a minimum of 32M allocated to PHP, but recommends 64M. You only have 32M allocated
>>>

When I clicked the install button, I got the message "CiviCRM has been successfully installed"

However, when I loaded http://localhost:8888/civicrm/standalone/index.php I got this message:

>>>
Not Found

The requested URL /civicrm/standalone/index.php was not found on this server.

Apache/2.0.63 (Unix) PHP/5.2.11 DAV/2 Server at localhost Port 8888
>>>

Then I inspected the htdocs/civicrm/standalone folder, and I the index.php file wasn't there - there was only "civicrm.settings.php" and the "files" folder .

What should I do now?

Sunil

hi,
Are you sure about, you have downloaded correct civicrm?
Because in Drupal install, standalone directory is not present.
It is only present in Standalone version.('civicrm/standalone')

Is the standalone folder writable?
During the installation, you have to give write permission to standalone directory.

No need to create manually, Just you have choose correct civicrm install.

e.g You need to use  'civicrm-3.0.2-standalone.tar.gz'  Or prior standalone version.
