I have seen a few threads around on Gift Aid, even talk about a Gift Aid module.
Can Dave or Lobo confirm if there is anything in production for GiftAid on contributions?

If there isnt anything around or available within the next 2-3 months what is the best way to approach this?

One solution discussed here suggests setting up a membership for Gift Aid. Is this still the best approach at the mo?

Hi Alanski,

Like you say, lots of people in the UK want this.  I'm hopeful we'll have something pretty decent in place by March.  I'm currently working with three orgs that all want Gift Aid implemented. 

From the Civi POV, there is two sides to giftaid.  Having the declaration on a contribute form, and making the report.  As long as you have the form(er) in place to start you can do the later at some point in the future.

This spec should get you started: http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRM/Gift+aid+requirements.  Please add any improvement / extra requirements there and if you have some funding / time to get started, let me know and we can co-ordinate amongst all those that want to implement this.
