"Participant Status" reserved Profile no longer working for searches

In fact, not only is "Participant Status" not working, but nor are a number of other Profiles I've created.
 
For example, the maintain profile screen shows 13 items  but when I do a search and then batch update, I'm only given 4 choices

The batch update screen for Participants only shows the profile that has only the participant fields in it. Rest of the profiles don't show up.
So, if you wish to update participant fields you must do the update from a 'Find Participants' search (and only include participant fields in your profile).
