Profile 'notification' email not being sent in a Contribution Form

On a 2.2.8 set we have a Profile in a Membership Form (ie CiviContribute).

The Profile is set up to send a Notification. SMPT settings are all good.

I found http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,6266.msg27618.html#msg27618 where lobo said

lobo - can you confirm if this has been fixed or is there a bug?

The Membership Form also 'requires a Drupal account' and 'Drupal Registration Settings' are "Visitors can create accounts but administrator approval is required."

If it has been fixed can you suggest anything else to check?

I am also failing to see 'send' on 'send an email' but suspect that is css issues.

Answering some fairly obvious questions before Lobo asks me - i have just tested the Profile outside of the Contribution Page and I do get the email Notification - and I have just managed to test on 3.0 and I am not getting the notification from a Membership page so perhaps the bug didn't get fixed for 2.3 (3.0) as indicated.

Can anyone point me to the issue in JIRA so I can check? (Had a quick hunt but didn't spot it under Profile AND Membership, or under Profile AND notif

Hi petednz

I'm trying to get this working with 3.4.1, but can't get the profile to send out a notification when it used within a membership contribution page. Are there specific membership and/or contribute settings that influence whether the notification gets sent?

Is the notification working for you with 3.4.1?
