One Phone should be marked as primary error?
December 05, 2009, 10:42:00 am
I am getting this error when trying to save a communication preference edit on the record.  Attached is a snapshot of the record.  What is the error message referring to?  I cannot see what I need to change in order to be able to save this record.

Thanks,
Annalee

It's difficult to reproduce as it just happened when I went into this particular record.  I cannot seem to save any edits to this record without getting this error message.  That's why I included a snapshot because I can't figure out what I need to change in order to save the record.

A quick fix if you don't have the inclination to apply a patch (or you may be a user without that option)

Add a new phone to the contact (just press the + you don't need to enter any data) - the radio button for selecting the primary phone number appears. click it to mark the existing phone number as primary - then delete the new phone number you just created.

Now save and all is well.

This only occurs on editing records that were created in earlier versions - the current version marks a phone number as primary if there is only one of them - 'cos its obvious init.
