Which version should i install in Joomla?
December 06, 2009, 09:58:33 pm
Hello Folks!

I am completely new to Civi CRM. I just want to know which version should i use for installation. Because there is many version to download. Meanwhile i have just downloaded civicrm-3.0.0-joomla.zip and civicrm-3.0.0-joomla-alt.zip. I am confused in these two which one should i install. I am using Joomla latest version 1.5.15 so i think there is no issue with the joomla version. Please have a look in attachment what i download.

Please help me Guyz. I will be so thankfull to you.
Thanks In Advance.
Vikram

Vikram:

civicrm-3.0.x-joomla-alt.zip - is for server that doesn't support unzip functionality.
For more info check: http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/Joomla+Installation+Guide

Try civicrm-3.0.x-joomla.zip, if it doesn't work and gives you missing zip support error then use civicrm-3.0.x-joomla-alt.zip

Can you check if you have following file:
/home/******/public_html/izone/administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm/CRM/Mailing/DAO/TrackableURL.php.

Then you should not get this error. Can you make sure apache user has permission to access /home/******/public_html/izone/administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm/CRM/Mailing/DAO/TrackableURL.php

May be try re-installing CiviCRM, if that does not help I would suggest you should get some help from http://civicrm.org/professional
