Adding another record of a customer data group set as allowing multiple records
December 07, 2009, 05:36:36 am
Hi Team!

I think I have identified a bug with 3.1.

I created a custom data group for a contact which is set to allow multiple records. I happened to create a group which contains one date field and one number field.

Then when I go into a contact record I can set the first instance of the fields in the data group and save those fine. When I then go back to edit the custom data group and click on the hyperlink  below the first record to  'add another record', the link does not work.

I have replicated this behaviour on the 3.1 public sandbox site, but it does not occur on the public 3.0 demo site.

Leave it with you!

Thanks

Marcus

Marcus:

I was able to add multiple values on sandbox, check: http://sandbox.civicrm.org/civicrm/contact/view?action=browse&selectedChild=custom_2

That link took me to a record of 'marcus test'. I could only see one record on the 'instances' tab and I could still not add another one...

Sorry check Training Tab for http://sandbox.civicrm.org/civicrm/contact/view?reset=1&cid=117

But your record seems to have some problem, which check on it.. ( http://sandbox.civicrm.org/civicrm/contact/view/cd/edit?tableId=288&cid=288&groupId=5&action=update&reset=1 )

This might be problem with subtype and multiple value custom data.

Thanks,

Kurund

Ok, I see that your test worked. Maybe it is sub-type related. Leave you with it

Looks like a bug w/ subtypes + multiple records. Issue filed:
