Civi Profile Search Redirects to Login

So I am thrilled with civi 3 and in the process of working joomla 1.5 bugs out. One issue I'm having is that when doing a search in profile it redirects to the login page. After logging in a second time the search will work. Any ideas?

Check the exact URL's being used during the sequence (e.g. http://calhers.org vs. http://www.calhers.org).

Sure enough. It starts at http://calhers.org and then redirects to http://www.calhers.org. I have to say that I'm a hack and don't know where to change the sequence. Looked in config.php and .htaccess and didn't find the offending www. Any guidance would contribute to good karma I'm sure.

Check all the spots discussed in this wiki doc. That should help you find the 'www' :-)

Thank you, Dave, for the direction. I was able edit the BASE URL in the following files from http://www.calhers.org to http://calhers.org


.../components/com_civicrm/civicrm.settings.php

.../administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm.settings.php

taking out the www. did the trick and now the profile search does not redirect users to the login page.
