I need to write a custom CiviReport or custom PHP to produce the monthly "statements" for each person who has either paid money, or owes money.   For example, someone may have registered for 5 events and chosen "pay later" for some or all of the events. They may also have a past due membership fee.

So I need to create a PDF or HTML report that the office staff can print and mail to the offline folks. For online folks, I'll send an email with the same info. In this case, about 50% of the people are offline and expect a paper statement.

Any suggestions as to the best approach?
