How to/ where is civivoter?
September 09, 2007, 07:23:51 pm
A local political party in a Chicago suburb would like to use civivoter to maintain voter information received from the Cook County Clerk's office.

How do I download this module? Any special installation instructions? How can we use a voter ID number as the index we use to track our members? Eventually, we would like new and renewing members to sign up based on their finding their record in the voter database.

I am just learning drupal and civicrm and have it installed on my home server prior to going "live" on our official web site hosted by FutureQuest. com. Any direction or advice is greatly appreciated.

You can fetch and install CiviVoter from: http://cvdemo.torenware.com/

Note that CiviVoter and Canvasser and contributed modules and hence not supported by the CiviCRM team. Not sure where Rob is supporting these modules, i'll ask him to respond here.

Also note that CiviVoter is based on v1.6. The current supported release of CiviCRM is v1.8

If you can make notes and document your experience that would be great and helpful for the community
