Outbound Email Settings - SENDMAIL
Sendmail Configuration - path: /usr/sbin/sendmail
Sendmail Argument: -i

My test emails are going out.  However, my scheduled mailings are not going out.  I tried sending an unscheduled mailing (ie., send now -- submit mailing) and that mailing was posted as scheduled but never actually sent.  Why are test emails sent but not the scheduled emails?

Have you set up cron job for sending mailings using CiviMail? 
You can also manually send mailing using this

I figurered it out after I made this post.  Not so intuitive.  There should be option to run the cronjob right from the scheduled mailings page.  However, the quick response to the few questions that I have asked has inspired me to make a donation.  CiviCRM.org ROCKS!

I'm having the problem that was first discussed in this thread but have not been able to resolve my issue.  I set up my mail address and tested my EmailProcessor.php script (output provided).  "connecting to mail.mysite.com, authenticating as username and selecting INBOX mailboxes found: INBOX, INBOX.return@mysite_com, INBOX.Sent, INBOX.webmaster@mysite_com, INBOX.mailprocess@mysite_com, INBOX.Trash, INBOX.CiviMail.processed, INBOX.CiviMail.ignored, INBOX.Drafts got to the end of the mailbox connecting to mail.mysite.com"

I tried to do a test mailing using these settings...I submitted the mailing and forced the cronjob using the "civicrm/mailing/queue?reset=1" script.  The message moved from "scheduled" to "running" but no mail is sent and the status doesn't change...its remains at "running".  I tried this process with the cronjob in place but the same thing happens.  Actually, the cronjob doesn't even seem to run...I need help.  :(

We did try to list the various steps, and tests you can run on this chapter in the book:

It sounds that the configuration to send emails in incorrect, which one did you set up ?

Try to follow the steps in the chapter, you might see where the problem is.

I can send a test mail (and individual emails) successfully using each of the three methods outlined in the floss manual no problems. Right now I'm using the 'mail ()' setting, because the floss manual indicated that this is the preferred setting.  I'll try this with the other setups too to be sure. 

I provided the output of the test EmailProcessor.php script...I'm new to CiviCRM and I'm assuming the output confirms that CiviMail is successfully connecting with my mail server and processing the email.  Am I wrong about that (some clarification here would be great!)?  :)

If those two setups are correct, then shouldn't CiviMail be able to process a mailing?  Why is it hanging on the 'running' status???  Is any of this related to the issue over here http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,15245.msg65317.html#new
Thanks for any help you can offer.

EmailProcessor / CiviMailProcessor (i'm not sure if they've been merged in 3.2.x as yet) basically process inbound email and not outbound email

you first need to ensure that email gets delivered, i.e. the cronjob is working. check your mail logs to see what is happening. check apache logs to see if there are any errors
