Token Hooks in Print PDF Letter

I'm using hook_civicrm_tokens and hook_civicrm_tokenValues to create and replace a new token.  All seems to work fine when sending email to contacts, but token replacement doesn't occur when I use the "Print PDF Letter for Contacts" action.  Standard tokens get replaced properly, but the token I added in hook_civicrm_tokens is replaced with an empty string, and not the value I assigned in hook_civicrm_tokenValues (Drupal 6 and CiviCRM 3.0).

We have recently fixed this issue for v3.0.2.

related issue might be : http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-5249

you might want to upgrade CiviCRM to latest stable release : CiviCRM v3.0.3

I'm also getting this problem with civicrm 3.1.3. Any ideas on a fix please

If you are not seeing tokens working you need to be really clear about which action you are using because several sound similar e.g. 'sending pdf letters' could actually be sending pdf letters from the contact search screen or the contribute search screen.

I was trying to deal with the contribute search sending pdf receipts but I think the patch will affect other functions as well.
