Contribution pages - vital text not appearing

I am having trouble with certain Civicrm pages where text displays temporarily and then disappears.  I have researched the forums but have not been able to find a solution.

I am also unable to delete contribution pages nor am I able to invoke the Tell a Friend component of a contribution.  I have attached a video of what's happening (http://screencast.com/t/OWI2MWU5M2Yt).

I have tried to replicate on my local install, but functionality seems to be working fine.

can u you try to replicate on http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/

hi,
Have you modified in file in templates directory?

For Tell Friend::
templates/CRM/Friend/Form/Friend.tpl
templates/CRM/Friend/Form/Contribute.tpl

For Delete Action
templates/CRM/Contribute/Form/ContributionPage/Delete.tpl

One of way to get same error (white screen )
Put <script type="text/javascript"> at start in templates/CRM/Contribute/Form/ContributionPage/Delete.tpl file,
we get same result (No Data[white screen])

So can you check related files (if modified, make sure it's correct )

If I could replicate this problem then I would most likely be able to solve the issue.  I wouldn't know how to modify the .tpl files and have never been near them.

I have just moved the site to a local test environment and I get different behaviour.  The text still disappears but I do see the delete form and also the Tell a Friend form so there must be some environment issue that is causing this problem.  It's driving me mad since it's in the production environment.

Are there any other clues that I could try.

I have solved the problem where text displays temporarily and then disappears.  I changed the Rewrite rules in the .htaccess file in the drupal subdirectory to ensure that the URL quins.com.au was always rewritten as www.quins.com.au and then changed all base urls in civicrm and drupal settings files.

However I am still unable to resolve the 'white screen' on the following pages in Global Settings:
Outbound Email
Tags
Miscellaneous
Mapping and Geocodes
Site Preferences
Upload Directories
Date
Drupal Integration
Debugging

There are other pages elswhere that are also giving me a 'white screen' but there must be something about the environment that is causing this problem.

Unfortunately the fact that I cannot set Debugging does not allow me to see what the problem might be.  Is there a database hack that will set debugging on?

check the apache error log and u'll have a better idea about the white screen and why.
