CiviCRM for a post grad school: save/resume application forms
December 22, 2009, 09:23:40 am
Hi,

We're a post graduate school (~200 students per year) and are looking into using CiviCRM for our Registrar office. Your thoughts on these questions is most appreciated! We're willing to fund development (as open source), if needed.

1) Our application form is long. Does CiviCRM support a save/resume feature for our student applicants?
We're currently using formassembly.com and the user interface for their save/resume is excellent.

2) Would the student application forms be a part of CiviEvent? Or something else? A student might fill in more than one if applying for full year program, and then later applying to a fellowship program. We'd want most of the fields to set or update the students main profile in the system.

Thanks!

Larry

we had written a pretty comprehensive college application for questbridge program (http://www.questbridge.org/). Thats probably your best starting point, all the code for that application is also under AGPL

Lobo,

Does this mean the code is in the svn or publicly available? Can you point me to a url if so?

I'm looking for a similar application process. More for employment applications though. Does your implementation allow for multiple applications per contact?

thanks,

Sam

check:

http://svn.civicrm.org/quest/

i think they are still using 1.9 or so. We no longe maintain it Web Access (on our professional page) updates and maintains the system

the code is AGPL, but i suspect u will need some consulting hours from WA to get this working on your site
