Event report sort order
December 28, 2009, 08:45:40 pm
When running an Event Participant Report or Attendee List is it possible to sort the report by Participant Name?  This seems like a fairly obvious need, so maybe I'm just not understanding the options correctly.

(And, BTW, what is the intended distinction between these two reports? They seem remarkably similar to me)

Thanks.

Both the reports come from same template. Its just that we had a special request for "Attendee List" report and we also wanted to give one report for participants without mixing the titles (and default display).

What about sorting Activity reports (or any report really) by date?

Or it would maybe make more sense long-term to add sorting ability to all report columns?

Would be great to add general sorting support to the framework. We estimate this will be between 40-50 hours. If your org can help sponsor this development that would be great

thanx

just adding my vote for this sorting feature in reports (and a big thumbs up for the arrival of reporting in Civi!).

the sorting needs to be clever enough to sort by last name as title/first/last name are all combined in the one field in the report at the moment, so just sorting by the content of the field won't help much.

have made a small donation to support an hour or two's work on this.. well it's a start :-)
