Batch update of Individual Participants
September 12, 2007, 03:46:53 am
Hi guys,

I am using CiviCRM 1.79 under Drupal and find it excellent. The company I am working for stores individuals' data in the system and organizes events for them. The "Batch update via Profile" function is the most usable for them as they don't have to click on all individuals. As they are organizing events, they want to see the data of participants via a profile, containing not only Participant data but also other data belonging to the individuals registered to the event. There is a "Batch update Participants via Profile" function for CiviEvent but it makes possible to edit only the Participant data.

Is there any suggestion for this problem?

cheers
Peter

Peter - Unfortunately, I think you'll need to hack the codebase (php file and template) to add Individual contact record fields to the Participant Batch Update screen. If you want to take this approach - start with CRM/Event/Form/Task/Batch.php and templates/CRM/Event/Form/Task/Batch.tpl.

Thank you, it seems to me to difficult. I will go for setting up groups and avoid events.
