Bounces not sent to my CiviMail return channel
December 31, 2009, 10:53:56 pm
The Return-Path in my bulk emails is being set to the "From" address and not the VERP address, so bounces are being sent to my regular mail account and not to the CiviMail return channel.

My return channel works fine for replies and unsubscribes, but the bounces never get there.

Is there something I'm doing wrong, or could this be a bug?  I'm using CiviCRM 3.0.3.

I noticed others have posted about this as well, but with no replies. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Okay -- I verified that the Return-Path is in fact set correctly to the VERP bounce address when it is initially passed to sendmail.  Apparently it is reset to the From address somewhere along the way after CiviCRM sends it.  Is it sendmail that's changing the Return-Path, and if so is there a way to configure it not to?
