Data not imported for view only fields

If a custom field is flagged as view only, data is not imported to it -- the data is simply ignored.
I seem to recall that issue coming up with v3.0, but see it persists in v3.1 b4.
support CiviCRM through 'make it happen' initiatives!

yes, to a large extent we ignore "view only" custom fields and hence its not imported

no plans to fix this in the short/medium term
