I get intermittent problems with front end civicrm pages (only, as back end is fine).
I either get a white screen, with no content, or get a page title and nothing else.

There is either
(1) no error reported in firebug (which just says 'reload page to activate window console')
(2)  I get an error stating "Error: cj is not defined: Source File: http://www.[mysite].org.uk/index.php?option=com_civicrm&view=Contributions&Itemid=163 :Line: 44" or
(3)  or (on form submits e.g. on updating a profile or on membership sign-ups) the URL formed appears to end early  e.g. http://www.marlowrowingclub.org.uk/index.php?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/profile/edit&     - (and I either get a white screen, or in Opera a general message about an error)

Of course this could be a clash with some other Joomla plugin or component, but if it isn't that, any ideas what it might be?

Thanks. That spurred me to find out where my host keeps the error logs, and lo and behold there were various PHP memory limit messages. Increasing the PHP memory limit appears to have done the trick, thanks.
