Data not saving in civiCRM profile

Hi,

I have created 3 civicrm profiles using inbuild data types in combination with custom data. 2 of them are saving data after filling and submitting, in the 3rd profile some fields are saving its data but 4 fields are not. These are inbuild data types not even custom data fields created by me. These are:

1. Street Address   
2. City   
3. Country   
4. Postal Code

I used City and Country data fields in another profile where it is working but not in the 3rd profile, evenif i try to save the data as admin .

please let me know whats the problem.

I am using civiCRM v1.7 9327 build, with drupal 5.1 . PHP version 4.4

There is no error message as well.

Can you please set up identical profile on http://demo.civicrm.org/ and try to replicate the behaviour? If it behaves the same way, please file an issue at http://issues.civicrm.org/, it's most probably a bug.

i tried to login on the demo site with login=demo and password=demo , but that didnt work. I also tried to create new account and login, i got new password but that also didnt work.

can u clear your browser cache and cookies and try logging in again as demo / demo. there is a wierd issue which affect drupal sometimes (check drupal forums if u need more detail)

Ok i logged in and tried to create a simple profile having some basic data fields, some fields same as in another existing profile. After saving data everything seems to be working fine on demo site. Although i have not created the exact profile like mine as my profile has almost 15 data fields, most are custom created, and i am still facing same non-saving problem of some of fields in my profile.

Now i get rid of those fields as they are already exist in my another profile which i am asking at the time of registration, so asking again doesnt make any sense. So my problem is solved, but i think this problem remain in civicrm. It may be some new ACL permission problem because it started after upgradation of civicrm from 1.5 to 1.7 .But on the other hand i assume atleast admin should have all permissions by default, but in my case even admin is unable to save those data.

Can you list unique custom field types that you used in the profile that was causing problems?

Concerning ACL - any details on you permissions configuration?

Hi,

As i wrote earlier i had problem with the fields and data types which came with civicrm as default, they were not custom created. The fields were:

1. Street Address -> Text input type
2. City   -> Text input type
3. Country -> Single select option
4. Postal Code -> Text input type

I dont think it is related to ACL problem because of two reasons:

1. I am using same data fields in 1 other profile called "Address" (similar to demo site) and there it is working fine.
2. I am trying to save data in that profile as admin
