I have a website on joomla+civicrm.

Configured paypal website payments pro. Did a test payment. It went through successful and the transaction status was complete in the civicrm.

But when i changed the payment to website payments standard and made a test payment, the transaction status was pending. will this work like this or am i missing something? should i manually go and check if the payment is fine in paypal and update the status manually in civicrm?

thank you so much for your reply.

I thought these are because of test transactions and tried a live transaction for $1.

before making the donation i cleard all the contacts and contributions in teh db.

now i see 2 transactions for $1. one is completed and other is pending. any reason why?

I can see the ipn setting in teh paypal accoutn under profile menu.

Can you tell me what url to enter in it? I'm sorry im new to civicrm.
