v1.5 - Search functions not working
September 12, 2007, 08:44:52 pm
Just did an install of CiviCRM on Joomla 1.5 RC2. None of the find contact functions seem to be working. No error messages, but it just returns you to the search page with no list of contacts or message. Anyone else experience this?

This was happening to me at the beginning, but it isn't now. I'm sorry, I can't remember what my solution was, but was this a fresh install or an upgrade?

Fresh install of Civi 1.8 on Joomla 1.5

I also notice that the search in the sidebar is a little buggy. If you click and begin typing right away, it adds error code to the field. I think the javascript used to populate the dropdown isn't activated until the cursor is placed in the box (vs. on page load). If you click in the field and wait a few seconds, it doesn't error. However I have found that occasionally the use of that tool will cause the user to logout of the Joomla Admin.

If you remember what the fix was, I'd love to know. Thanks!

Yup.
Even if you do an empty search (no criteria) which usually brings up the full list of contacts, nothing happens.

I have several installs of CiviCRM on both Joomla 1.0.13 and 1.5 RC2. I'm pretty familiar with the program.
