September 12, 2007, 11:31:01 pm
Allo,
I work with CiviCRM version 1.7.9379 on Drupal 4.7.6 and I have import the German Language. The most word are Translate, but some word are not.
I try to translate the words with Drupal localization, but it is not work for all words. I read the documatation but ..... I don't understand the translation process from CiviCRM. How can I get the translation for all words.

Thanks for the help.

We try to make CiviCRM as CRM-agnostic as we can, and so we can’t really use Drupal localisation mechanisms for CiviCRM. We’re handling CiviCRM translations at our translations server, and we commit the changes from there to our repository (and the subsequent releases) on a regular basis.

We’d really appreciate it if you can help with the German translation. You can work through the translations server or if you know what PO files are, you can get them straight from our repository. I’ll commit the changes on a regular basis and build the MO file, which you can then download and put in your install.
If you found the above helpful, please consider helping us in return – you can even steer CiviCRM’s future and help us extend CiviCRM in ways useful to you.

Hi Piotr,

I have started a new project with CiviCRM 1.9. I have translated online on your server many words an sentences in german.

I found the most words very fastly, but I don't find thoses sentences.

-----------------
Use % wildcard(s) for partial matches. EXAMPLE: Enter "Volunteer%" as your Activity Type to match any activity whose type is "Volunteer" + any other words (e.g. Volunteer for Open House).

Does the contact have a Drupal Account?

tags

Mailing List Filter search by group type(s).

Administer your CiviCRM site using the links on this page. Click for descriptions of the options in each section.
----------------

Please can you help me to find the sentences?
Thank you.

You mean you didn’t find them in the translation engine?

I found this by searching for ‘for partial matches’.

Does the contact have a Drupal Account?

Search for ‘Does the contact have a’.

Erm, what tags? ‘tags’ as a string?

Mailing List Filter search by group type(s).

These are two strings. Search for ‘search by group type’.

Administer your CiviCRM site using the links on this page. Click for descriptions of the options in each section.

This was a bug in our templates (CRM-2433) – you can now translate this string by searching for ‘using the links’ (but you’ll have to upgrade to a newer CiviCRM 1.9 release for this to work in your install; we’ll release a new tarball sometime this or next week).
