If you include the Contact Subtype field in a Profile to add an Organization record, it doesn't work as expected when you include certain custom fields in the Profile.

I expected it to allow me to present a form to include a custom field for Organizations. However when the Profile is used, the presence of the custom field in the Profile breaks the Contact Subtype dropdown list. What happens is that the Contact Subtype dropdown options become restricted to one type.

In my case the custom field is for the Organization record type.

I can include steps to reproduce in a bug report if no one else has documented this yet.

I believe that the form builder is getting confused somehow when it handles the custom field.

I was able to confirm that Contact Subtype works as expected by temporarily deleting my custom field from the Profile.

I realized when re-creating the problem, that the bug is in the creation of the Profile itself. In effect the Profile gets associated with one Organization Subtype because of how it forces you to associate the Custom Field with a particular Subtype rather than Contact Type.
