RESOLVED - Open Event Listings Display in Joomla
January 07, 2010, 06:32:00 am
In the Events/Dashboard page display in admin, the globe at the top generates a link to an html page that shows all upcoming events that are active.

We created a Joomla menu link item as an "external" link to open in the same browser window and made it the HOME default (doesn't need to be tho), and it displays the list of active/open events in a table list format.

We modified the file located there to remove column heads and column content per client desire:

/administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm/templates/CRM/Event/Page/ICalendar.tpl

See the results at www.ccbfa.net

==============================

We have created the following display (see link) as the home page for a Joomla 1.5.x install using CiviEvent to display the list of upcoming events.

http://www.ccbfa.net/index.php?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/event/ical&reset=1&page=1&html=1

The client would prefer to not show some of the fields in this particular display.

Can someone point us to the file that generates this display with in the CiviCRM file structure?

We are still struggling with the concept of going into Joomla "Administrator" to edit files that display on the Joomla frontend.   Could be our brains a numb from the freezing temperatures here in North Carolina!!!

Anyway, that aside, any indication on what file to edit to change the layout/format of the listing display would be appreciated.
