Upgrading from 2.1.6 to 2.2 after migration from another server
January 09, 2010, 04:38:26 am

Hi,

It took a while but I finally managed to install civicrm on a new Joomla site (a dummy site for now) and I planned to use the dummy site to upgrade civicrm to 3.0 before installing it on the new site

I used these instructions to migrate it
http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/Moving+an+Existing+Installation+to+a+New+Server+or+Location

and then I was using these instructions to upgrade
http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC22/Upgrade+Joomla+Sites+to+2.2

but when I install successfully and run the updater script, it comes up with these errors, and when I look through all the files I can't find what needs changing:
Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'Exception' with message 'XML data could not be loaded. Make sure you specified the correct path.' in C:\xampp\htdocs\joomdummy\administrator\components\com_civicrm\civicrm\packages\IDS\Filter\Storage.php:217 Stack trace: #0 C:\xampp\htdocs\joomdummy\administrator\components\com_civicrm\civicrm\packages\IDS\Filter\Storage.php(108): IDS_Filter_Storage->getFilterFromXML() #1 C:\xampp\htdocs\joomdummy\administrator\components\com_civicrm\civicrm\packages\IDS\Monitor.php(167): IDS_Filter_Storage->__construct(Object(IDS_Init)) #2 C:\xampp\htdocs\joomdummy\administrator\components\com_civicrm\civicrm\CRM\Core\IDS.php(130): IDS_Monitor->__construct(Array, Object(IDS_Init)) #3 C:\xampp\htdocs\joomdummy\administrator\components\com_civicrm\civicrm\CRM\Core\Invoke.php(74): CRM_Core_IDS->check(Array) #4 C:\xampp\htdocs\joomdummy\administrator\components\com_civicrm\admin.civicrm.php(45): CRM_Core_Invoke::invoke(Array) #5 C:\xampp\htdocs\joomdummy\administrator\components\com_civicrm\admin.civicrm.php( in C:\xampp\htdocs\joomdummy\administrator\components\com_civicrm\civicrm\packages\IDS\Filter\Storage.php on line 217

Can anybody help me?? Thanks..

Try going into:
media/civicrm/upload/

and delete: Config.IDS.ini

support CiviCRM through 'make it happen' initiatives!
