Directories on the /administrator side of Joomla

Joomla Security Checklist recommends using Apache authentication to further protect /administrator/ from public eyes.

Which directories in /administrator/components/com_civicrm need unrestricted access for front-end profiles, events and online registrations?

most of the directories are use via php includes, so you could http access on most of them. The ones below definiely need to be open:

bin
extern
i
js

You'll have to turn it on and see which other ones need to be open. Please update this forum thread as needed

Access to CRM, packages and css are also required, so exempting the entire /civicrm directory seems like the easiest course.
