Invalid key value sent
January 13, 2010, 11:28:04 am
I'm trying to get my membership database to automatically update and so am using the supplied php script as a cron job.

Unfortunately I keep getting my key rejected: ERROR: Invalid key value sent.

The only other place on the forum I found with the same error pointed out that the key needed to be entered in 2 civicrm.settings.php files.

So, that's what I did but I'm still getting the same error.

Any ideas?

Cheers,

Ian.

Unfortunately I've done everything that the documentation tells me to do and I still get the Invalid key message.

Any other suggestions?

Ian.

did u change it in both settings files?

your best bet might be to get in and debug the code: CRM/Utils/System.php,  function authenticateKey

Oh yes, thank you.  I forget to make the translation from Drupal to joomla sometimes . . .
Thanks to those who help create and enhance civiCRM!

OK. Please hand me the award for dumbest oversight in the land!

When I put my script together I left in the <> around my usernames and keys.

PLEASE let the people read this so they can be spared the humility of making a stupid mistake.

Sigh.
