3.2 undelete/logging
January 14, 2010, 02:40:18 pm
I seem to recall seeing a discussion about how to implement undelete in 3.2 that mentioned the possibility of logging all changes and deletions, but I can't find it now. (NB: would be nice to enable search on civicrm.org so one could search the blogs.) I have a project where the client is very interested in setting up a quality assurance workflow for contact data so that all additions, changes, and deletions can be manually reviewed. Business rules would allow changes to be used for emails, but hold off using a contact in the direct mail program until QA is complete. I believe there would be funding for this QA work, especially if it could sit on top logging and Drupal Rules.

What is the status and architecture of undelete for 3.2?

we will only be doing undelete for 3.2. logging has been deferred to some future release. this is still in spec/design stage

Lobo, we may have a client interested in funding some improvements to logging functionality.  Where can we find out the latest and greatest on this topic?
