Adding contact email with HTML snippet removes existing contact

help!

When I use the HTML snippet to add a contact's email on my site, it removes the last existing contact from the civicrm database.

When adding a new contact from the civicrm shortcut menu it is fine, its only when using the profile html form that it removes the last contact.

Any ideas why this is happening?

Civicrm 2.2.6

please upgrade to civicrm 3.1.beta6

2.2 is no longer supported
