Does anyone have any advice on this error?

"failed to open stream: Too many open files"

I haven't changed anything on the site recently. It just seems to have started about an hour ago.

It seems to trace back to line 1041 of Core/Config.php, but I haven't been able to make any more sense of it.

TIA for any debugging advice.

Do you have SSH access to your box?

This looks like a system-level error, so you might want to ping your hosting provider.
