Drupal user edit profile: changing fax is also changing phone

I see that when the 'view/edit user account' is enabled for one of my custom profiles containing phone & fax, changing the fax is also changing the phone data. I can't try this in the demo because this particular screen (drupal user edit) is not available. Is this a known bug?

can you try doing this on an independent profile (q=civicrm/profile/edit)

might also be an issue with your version of civicrm, check:
