Joomla 1.5.15
CiviCRM 3.0.4

When I go to the Reports/Donor Report (detail)
Under the “Report Criteria”
The “City” check box is missing

I checked a different install of CiviCRM on a different site and it is there. I checked your demo site for joomla and it is there.
I am not sure what I did or why this field option is not showing up. This makes it hard to create mailers.

Have any ideas why this field isn’t showing up?

Can you check if you have enabled City in Address Settings.

My screen looks the same as the demo. The city box is checked.

I did a test donation and the city gets passed to the receipt that is sent.
it just doesn't show up in the report.

when it comes to reports in civiCRM, what config files or database area handles it?
maybe I could replace or update based on a civiCRM install that is working?

I was looking at some of the other reports, and the city field shows for the Membership Report (Detail) correctly
just not my Donor Report (Detail)

(by the way I am a beginner in when it comes to mySql and php)

I figured it out!

I had a Custom Data Group that I am using for Contributions. I had a City field in that group. Well the custom field for city, had the exact field label as the city field that comes with the “Name and Address” Profile group. When I changed my custom city fields label, my missing city field now shows up in the report.

I didn’t notice this right away, because the custom state and zip was still working fine. But that is because they aren’t using the exact same labels.

Custom field with name - "City" should not break report screen. Can you give details on your custom field? Is this custom group of type contribution?
